If you're not familiar, MyDoom sends you an email with "Mail Transaction Failed" or some other official-looking subject line. There's an attachment in the message; if you open the attachment, Notepad will open and show you a file full of garbage characters. While this is happening, the virus will infect your system and begin sending itself to others from your machine.
