It worked. I think I have an idea for my novel. I don't know if it's any good, but it's something. The "wait until the last minute and let your subconscious do the work" approach has paid off for the second year in a row.
It also gave me a secondary idea last night (in the form of a dream) about me being in a bicycle race whose route went through, among other things, several Las Vegas casinos. So I've got that to fall back on if I need it. There are few things more literary than riding a racing bike on top of a bar counter in the Bellagio.
I think I'm going to go back to bed and see if my subconscious will write the whole book for me.

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. My time has been sucked up by a bunch of different activities, not the least of which is failing to plan for my novel. Only three more days! Ack!
One of the things I've been busy with is getting my photos online. j3zmund emailed me last week and very kindly pointed out that I hadn't put up any photos, and where were the photos, and that I should put them up soon before NaNoWriMo started or it would never happen. (He said it nicer than that, though.) This provided me with the motivation I need to wrestle my photo software into submission and convince it that yes, it did in fact want to generate web photo galleries for me, in spite of the numerous flaws in the program that seem to prevent you from doing just that.
At any rate, I've got a few up there now. You can find it on the now-functional Photo page. I hope you enjoy them.
